MDR/MPP Joint Degree Curriculum

The joint MPP/MDR degree program requires a total of 58 credit units: 20 units in dispute resolution courses and 38 credits in public policy. If undertaken separately, the two programs would require a total of 82 credit units. With careful planning, it is envisioned that MPP students could complete the MDR requirements in summer and/or winter sessions before, within, or after the two-year MPP program. The required 38 units of MPP study and other MPP-related requirements for a joint MPP/MDR are as follows:

Great Ideas: Ethics, Culture, Markets, Politics, and Technology (3 units)

Applied Economic Analysis of Public Policy I (3 units)

Applied Research Methods in Public Policy (3 units)

Political, Organizational, and Strategic Aspects of Public Policy Analysis (3 units)

Applied Economic Analysis of Public Policy II (3 units)

Policy Research Seminar (Capstone) (4 units)
