Drs. Blanco and Prieger Present Research at Western Economic Association Annual Conference


Dr. Luisa Blanco, associate professor of public policy, and Dr. James Prieger, professor of public policy, will be presenting their research at the 91st Annual Conference of the Wester Economic Association International from June 29-July 3, 2016, in Portland, Oregon. Blanco will be present her papers, "Impact of Crime on American FDI by Sectors in Latin America" and "Can Checks and Balances and Financial Development Act As Substitutes," as well as serve on several other panels as a chair or discussant. Prieger will be presenting, "New Data on the Prevalence of Illicit Trade in Cigarettes," coauthored with Jonathan Kulick, senior project director at the School of Public Policy, as well as serve as a discussant on a panel entitled, "Industrial Organization: Electric Utilities."
