Finish Your MPP Degree in DC
Get the best of both worlds through Pepperdine's MPP bi-coastal program. This optional opportunity allows a cohort of second-year students to expand their foundation built in Malibu and live and learn in Washington, DC, during their final semester of earning their master in public policy degree. This program is an excellent avenue for those pursuing a career in Washington, DC.
Students will take a full course load (13 units) at the Pepperdine DC Campus, located on Pennsylvania Avenue only a few blocks away from the White House. Additional components of this program include professional development and cultural experiences to immerse students in DC life. With proximity to Capitol Hill, government agencies, K Street, think tanks, and nonprofit organizations, this program will place students in the center of political decision-making and action.

Spring Semester Coursework
The bi-coastal MPP track is designed for the public policy student who aspires to have a career in Washington, DC, best pursued by those students interested in American Politics and International Relations. Students will need to carefully weigh the value of their specialization or double specialization against the advantage of being in DC to further network, professionally develop, and familiarize themselves with their future home. The DC MPP track will take place in the final spring semester of the Pepperdine School of Public Policy's 20-month program.
The five-course curriculum in the final semester will be a pre-packaged, cohort model with set courses including*:

Policy Seminar (Capstone): Major Issues in Public Policy
- Seminar in Political Issues: Making and Practice of American Foreign Policy
- Two additional electives that will count toward the American Politics or International Relations specializations (topics may include Cyber Security and US Foreign Policy)
- Professional Development
Spring semester online classes will also be available to DC students, though hours will be Pacific Time.

Study on Pennsylvania Avenue
2011 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC, is the epicenter of Pepperdine's social and political influence in the greater Washington metropolitan region. The Pepperdine DC Campus is the heartbeat of this inaugural program, with classrooms and administrative offices located just a few blocks from Foggy Bottom and Farragut West Metro stops. This ideal location is three blocks from the White House, across the street from George Washington University, and only blocks from Georgetown shopping, dining, and entertainment.
