Giving Back

With the support and partnership of its benefactors, the commitment of faculty and administration, and diligent adherence to Pepperdine’s mission of scholarship and service, the School of Public Policy has become a vital laboratory for policy education and leadership in the United States and throughout the world. There are several exciting ways to become involved:

Alumni Giving

There are many opportunities to give back to the School of Public Policy. Fellow alumni have donated funds to distribute CDs of prominent policy lectures, establish a single-parent scholarship fund, assist funding of summer internships, and other worthwhile school-specific contributions.

Annual Fund

Many alumni, parents, and friends choose to make their annual gifts to a specific school and commit themselves to a club level of support.

Annual gifts strengthen academic programs, enhance library and technology services, attract distinguished faculty, maintain a quality-learning environment, fund student organizations, and provide financial aid to students. In short, the Annual Fund increases the quality and reputation of Pepperdine University—therefore, all students, past and present, have benefited from the Annual Fund.

One of the reasons that your participation is so important is that when foundations and corporations are deciding whether to award Pepperdine grants, they look at the number of alumni and family members who contribute to the Annual Fund as a factor to help them make their decisions. So a modest gift from you would actually translate into helping the University receive millions of dollars!

Your first donation to the Annual Fund will put you on the mailing list for Pepperdine People magazine and the University's Annual Report. In addition, your name will be printed in the Pepperdine University Honor Roll of Donors as a financial supporter of the University.

Gift in Kind

A donor might consider a gift-in-kind, e.g., artwork, books, furnishings, or equipment, provided they comply with the policy of the University.

Planned Giving

When deciding to give, careful planning can ensure the most cost-effective result. Through conversation and consultation with your advisor and a member of the Center for Estate and Gift Planning team, you can develop a strategy of charitable giving that will leave a lasting legacy for students at Pepperdine!
