In June and July, Michael Huling, Davenport Institute Advisory Council member, City Planner with Clark County in Nevada, wrote two pieces for ICMA’s PM Magazine.
This year, the Davenport Institute hosted its annual City Manager in Residence Program with Drew Powers, the City Manager of Thousand Oaks, California.
We had two articles published in International City/County Management Association’s PM Magazine December Edition. Our first article was written on Digital Equity and Public Engagement, and our second was on the importance of Youth Councils in building community trust.
In December of 2021, the Davenport Institute was selected by the California Association of Realtors (CAR) to deliver a training series covering the ins and outs of local government in California.
The Davenport Institute partnered with The P2Club to write a 5-part series for California CityNews on best practices in public participation and community engagement.
