Pi Alpha Alpha
Membership
Membership in PAA is recognized nationally and is considered to be evidence of advanced scholastic and professional achievement. Student and alumni members of the Pepperdine chapter will also be members of the national organization. Current students, as well as alumni, may wish to include this award on their resumes.
Pi Alpha Alpha will seek to offer its members:
- Special meet and greet opportunities with speakers and guests.
- Community service opportunities.
Becoming a Member
In order to become a member, students must attain a minimum of a 3.7 GPA, complete a minimum of 25 units, and express a desire to conduct themselves in a manner that brings honor to the chapter, the School of Public Policy, and the Pepperdine Community. Students may apply for membership at the end of their first full year of studies, as well as after the first semester of their second year and upon completion of the program. The deadline to apply is February 28, 2022.

Alumni who graduated with a 3.7 GPA are also eligible to apply for membership during
open application periods, typically in January and October. Applications will first
go through a GPA verification process through the Dean’s office and then be approved
by the chapter’s faculty advisor, Professor Luisa Blanco.
