Future of Conservatism Talk Kicks-Off American Project in DC

The Pepperdine School of Public Policy will be launching its new initiative, the “American Project: On the Future of Conservatism” at Pepperdine's Washington, DC campus, on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from11:45 am-1 pm at 2011 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. The American Project brings together leading conservative leaders, scholars, and activists exploring ways that conservative principles and a new coalition can bring America out of our current state of hyper-polarization and gridlock.
This past summer, a group of 30 leaders and academics from across the conservative spectrum convened to imagine the future of a healthy conservative movement. A working report from the group entitled, “A Way Forward” will be presented by a panel of experts who contributed to the project, with facilitated Q &A with audience participants.
The panel discussion, A Conservatism of Connection:  Ending Polarization and the Future of the American Project, will also highlight the launch of the new AmericanProject.org website – an online gathering place, aggregating all the latest content about the state of the conservative movement.
Panelists include:
Moderator: Jimmy Kemp, president, Jack Kemp Foundation
• Joshua Mitchell, professor, Georgetown University
• Pete Peterson, dean, Pepperdine School of Public Policy
• Abby Skeans, Glossator Advising
• Elizabeth Spalding, professor, Claremont McKenna College
• Ryan Streeter, director of domestic policy studies, American Enterpise Institute
