Pooja Bachani Di Giovanna

Davenport Institute assistant director Pooja Bachani Di Giovanna was elected to the University Network of Collaborative Governance (UNCG) steering committee. In the last year, she has served on the teaching committee and helped design and supervise the first collaborative internship between UNCG and the Davenport Institute.

UNCG is an international network of college and university centers, institutes, and programs that engage in service, scholarship, and teaching to build the capacity for collaborative governance. The network’s mission is to champion collaborative governance by supporting and strengthening a network of faculty members and professionals.

In her role as a steering committee member, she will be responsible for participating in policy and direction decisions. Steering committee members serve on a variety of subcommittees and contribute to membership outreach and recruitment. Di Giovanna will continue to serve on the teaching committee during her term on the steering committee.

“We are so delighted that Pooja will be representing the Davenport Institute on the UNCG steering committee. Since joining our team Pooja has done an excellent job in helping us build and maintain strategic partnerships that are key to the Institute’s operations. The UNCG’s mission complements our work at the Institute and we view them as a valued partner,” commented Davenport Institute executive director, Maureen Tobin.

“We are thrilled to have Pooja step into a leadership position at UNCG. I know the quality of her work on UNCG projects and we are glad to capitalize on her imagination and wisdom. She is a young scholar and leader who will strengthen the UNCG steering committee,” commented chair, UNCG steering committee, John Stephens.
