PeppConnect at SPP
About PeppConnect
The PeppConnect program enhances the alumni experience by helping them reconnect with classmates and utilizing the network in a trusted Pepperdine environment to expand their professional network. It also alumni to give back by providing employment resources or acting as a mentor to our graduate School of Public Policy (SPP) students. Students can leverage opportunities to explore career industries and connect with those alumni in fields of similar interest. The system allows for full integration with social networks and fosters a culture of service through connection.
Mentorship Opportunities
One of the many ways PeppConnect can help students expand their network is through the SPP Mentorship Program. Each year, alumni have the opportunity to mentor the incoming class of students. From September through April of the academic year, alumni can join the Mentorship group and be paired with a student (or small group of students) on PeppConnect, and assist them through their program, provide them career guidance, and answer questions they have about your industry. Contact sppcareers@pepperdine.edu to request additional information. Alumni can create or update their profile on PeppConnect by selecting Offer Help > SPP Formal Mentor Program on their profile and the SPP Career Office will be in touch with the mentorship student pairing. Students are paired with someone invested in their success—a person ready to listen, inspire, help navigate challenges and recognize opportunities. Students will learn what to expect in school, how to approach challenges, gain career advice and valuable insights, while mentors will build their networks and develop skills to become better professionals and leaders.
