Pepperdine School of Public Policy, Washington Institute to Offer Full-Tuition Scholarships to Master of Middle East Policy Studies Students for Second Year

DC campus

Pepperdine University's School of Public Policy and The Washington Institute for Near East Policy are pleased to announce that full-tuition scholarships will be offered to the next cohort of admitted students of the Master of Middle East Policy Studies (MMEPS) program.

Following the successful launch for the inaugural student cohort last month, the program looks to recruit the second class of students dedicated to an impactful career in Middle East-related fields.

“The response we're seeing from our inaugural cohort of students regarding their first semester experience has been so affirming,” said Pete Peterson, dean of Pepperdine University's School of Public Policy. "As we're already receiving applications for next fall, I'm excited to offer full-tuition scholarships to our second class of students as well."

To continue to attract the best-and-the brightest students, full-tuition scholarships will be applied for the two years of graduate school enrollment.

“Here’s our value proposition,” said Dr. Robert Satloff, Segal executive director of The Washington Institute. “Study with the finest Middle East experts in the world. Meet the men and women who define and execute Middle East policy. Travel across the Middle East to learn about policy challenges first-hand. And rack up zero dollars in tuition debt. For us, it’s an investment. For you, it’s the future.”

Located at Pepperdine’s Washington, DC, campus, just steps from the White House and Capitol Hill, the MMEPS program equips future policy leaders with a deep understanding of the historical, political, religious, and cultural dynamics of the Middle East, combining classroom instruction with immersive learning experiences. Partnership with The Washington Institute ensures students benefit from access to world-class faculty and practitioners engaged at the highest levels of diplomacy and policy.

Scholarships include the cost of a Middle East policy study tour organized and led by experts from The Washington Institute, as well as the cost of professional language training to help students pass a language proficiency examination in a Middle East language before they graduate.
