Davenport Discussion: Importance of Transparency in Campaign Funding


The Davenport Institute for Public Engagement and Civic Leadership at the School of Public Policy will host its first Davenport Discussion of the academic year with Daniel Newman, president and cofounder of MapLight, on Wednesday, September 10, at Noon in SPP 175. MapLight is a groundbreaking database that helps reveal patterns of influence in a way that citizens can understand. Newman will be showcasing his platform and discussing the importance of transparency when it comes to the source of funding for candidates and policies.
