Dr. Demosthenes Vardiabasis has served as chief executive officer of a health care company and as a director for many small companies. He was a founder of IQ Now, the pioneering health on-line company, and of International Medical Technologies. He has been a consultant to various size companies and not-for-profit associations including Trylon, Baxter, and the Arthritis Foundation. Vardiabasis has been published in numerous journals including the International Journal of Management and the Southwestern Economic Review and in the edited book International Trade: Global Commodity Price Stabilization. He is the editor of a five-volume book Economics.

Vardiabasis is a professor of economics at Pepperdine's George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Pireus in Greece, his masters degree from the University of Essex in England, and a master's degree and PhD from the University of Southern California.
