Pepperdine University is located in Southern California in the coastal community of Malibu, about thirty-five miles northwest of Los Angeles.
It was founded in 1937 by George Pepperdine, who believed that the strength of a nation depends, in large part, on the integrity of its leaders. Students say that the University's unique combination of academic excellence and strong emphasis on values is a leading reason for their decision to study at Pepperdine.
