February 19, 2016  | 1 min read

The School of Public Policy was selected by the Magyar Foundation of North America (MFNA) as its first grant recipient to engage in new research and scholarship involving the historic and present-day relations between Hungary and the U.S. With research assistance from MFNA visiting Hungarian PhD candidate, Gergely Rajnai, and in partnership with the Ronald Reagan Library, Dr. Robert Kaufman will present his paper on the era of Ronald Reagan and the end of the Cold War in Hungary, and Dr. Alexei Shevchenko will present a new scholastic paper on the shared issues our two nations are facing today, at The National Press Club in Washington, D.C., on February 25, 2016. Their presentations will be followed by a discussion moderated by former United State Congressman Connie Mack and remarks from School of Public Policy interim dean Pete Peterson.
