Membership in PAA is recognized nationally and is considered to be evidence of advanced scholastic and professional achievement. Student and alumni members of the Pepperdine chapter will also be members of the national organization. Current students as well as alumni may wish to include this award on their resume.
Pi Alpha Alpha will seek to offer its members:
• Special meet and greet opportunities with speakers and guests.
• Community service opportunities.
Becoming a Member:
In order to become a member, students must attain a minimum of a 3.7 GPA, complete a minimum of 32 units, and express a desire to conduct themselves in a manner that brings honor to the chapter, the School of Public Policy, and the Pepperdine Community. Students may apply for membership at the end of their first full year of studies, as well as after the first semester of their second year and upon completion of the program.

Alumni who graduated with a 3.7 GPA are also eligible to apply for membership and may apply at any time. Applications will first go through a GPA verification process through the Dean’s office and then be approved by the chapter’s faculty advisor, Professor Ted McAllister.
