The Pepperdine Connection

Jack Kemp's lifelong commitment to the practical application of the lessons of history and great ideas will be uniquely honored at one of the nation's leading private universities. Like Ronald Reagan, Kemp has been closely associated with Pepperdine during its development as a rallying place for those who believe in the indivisibility of freedom—whether political, economic, or spiritual. He has frequently lectured at the University and serves on the executive committee of the School of Public Policy's Board of Visitors. In 1994, Kemp received the University's highest honor, the Doctor of Laws degree. Pepperdine was also the venue for Kemp's final political rally of the Dole/Kemp campaign in November of 1996.

"The school has been a trusted partner of some of the nation's leading scholars, foundations, and institutions..."

The school has been a trusted partner of some of the nation's leading scholars, foundations, and institutions, including the John M. Olin Foundation, the Smith Richardson Foundation, and the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation. Pepperdine is also home to the William E. Simon Distinguished Visiting Professor, the Theodore J. Forstmann Scholars program, and the Ronald Reagan Professor of Public Policy now occupied by Professor James Q. Wilson.
