Peterson Has Essay about Gen X Engagement in C-J

CSC’s executive director, Pete Peterson, recently posted the essay, “More than Zero”, on City Journal Online. In the piece, Peterson, uses research from the recently released Civic Health Index (from the National Conference on Citizenship) to show that, contrary to stereotypes, the generation known as “Generation X” demonstrates significant levels of public participation in actions from volunteering to attending community/local meetings.

The national report was released in September, while the California Civic Health Index is due for release in the next couple weeks.
