The Davenport Institute understands that the most effective public engagement efforts (online and offline) occur after a deliberate plan/process for using public feedback is established. How will your government/organization utilize public feedback in forming policy solutions? (250 words max) *
The Davenport Institute has learned from consulting on and funding many public engagement projects throughout California that to be legitimate, these efforts must be supported across a governing institution and civil society at large. This often means creating an Advisory/Stakeholder Group made up of internal and external representatives. (Note: If you are a non-profit applicant, there must be government representation in this group.)
