Since the exchange between Nick Hurd and Sir Stephen Bubb a couple weeks ago, much attention has been given to what the charitable sector actually thinks about the big society.  Here are some of the highlights:

• Carmen Dillon of Welwyn Hatfield Council Volunteer Service credits the Olympics, rather than the Big Society, with a spike in volunteerism.  Read more here.

• The CivilSociety Governance blog described a Third Sector Research Centre report which found that “although the voluntary sector is often cynical about the Big Society concept, many still see opportunities  - if the government can successfully package the idea.” You can read more here.
